Born Stanley Bert Eisen on January 20 1952 in Manhattan, New York City, New York, United States, Paul Stanley is a guitarist, musician, singer-songwriter and painter.
He's best known for being the rhythm guitarist, co-lead vocalist and frontman of the rock band Kiss.
Kiss is an American hard rock band formed in New York City in January 1973. The original 1973–80 lineup consisted of Paul Stanley (vocals and rhythm guitar), Gene Simmons (vocals and bass guitar), Ace Frehley (lead guitar and vocals) and Peter Criss (drums and vocals).
Kiss is considered as one of the greatest hard rock bands and also as the precursor of glam metal, a very popular genre in the 80s.
He is the writer or co-writer of many of the band's highest-charting hits. Stanley established the "Starchild" character for his Kiss persona.
Hit Parader ranked him 18th on their list of Top 100 Metal Vocalists of All Time.
Gibson.com Readers Poll also named him 13th on their list of Top 25 Frontmen.
