Happy birthday, Alec John Such...
Born on November 14 1951 in Yonkers, New York, US, Alec John Such is a retired musician.
He was bassist for Bon Jovi from 1983 to 1994 (lineup: Jon Bon Jovi (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, acoustic guitar), Richie Sambora (lead guitar, talbox, backing vocals), Alec John Such (bass, backing vocals), Tico Torres (drums, percussion), David Bryan (keyboards, piano, backing vocals)).
He played on the albums Bon Jovi (1984), 7800° Fahrenheit (1985), Slippery When Wet (1986), New Jersey (1988), Keep The Faith (1992) and Cross Road (1994).
He was dismissed not long after the release of Cross Road.
However, the other band members decided he wouldn't be officially remplaced. Since, Hugh McDonald, who had played bass on Runaway, has been playing the bass for Bon Jovi but he doesn't appear on the publicity shots or on the album artworks (except on the single Real Life, released in 1999).
Since 1994, Such has managed a couple of New Jersey bands.
In 1998, along with Eduardo EGS and James Young, he managed the Chicago-based band 7th Heaven.
Such also owns a motorcycle shop in New York City.
In 2001, he played a one-off show with Bon Jovi.
To conclude, we wish a happy birthday and years of rock to Alec John Such!
