Born Jeffrey Dean Isbell on April 8, 1962 in Lafayette, Indiana, U.S., Izzy Stradlin is a musician and songwriter. He is mostly known as the co-founder and former rhythm guitarist of the hard rock band Guns N' Roses, which he left in 1991.
He was born in Lafayette, Indiana, U.S., like Axl Rose. In high school, they started a band together. In 1980, Stradlin moved to Los Angeles. In 1983, Stradlin and Rose formed the band Hollywood Roses. In March 1985, they founded Guns N' Roses with several members of L.A. Guns. By June, the lineup consisted of Izzy Stradlin, Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan and Steven Adler.
After leaving the band, he founded his own band Izzy Stradlin and the Ju Ju Hounds for one album and tour.
Stradlin has released ten solo albums since the late 90s. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Guns N' Roses in 2012.
