Happy birthday Scotti Hill...
Born Scott Lawrence Mulvehill on May 31, 1964, in Manhasset, New York, USA, Scotti Hill is one of the guitarists of Skid Row.
In late 1986, Skid Row was founded in Toms River (New Jersey) by Rachel Bolan and Dave "The Snake" Sabo.
Jon Bon Jovi and Dave Sabo had been friends for a long time and had agreed that if one of them made it in the music business he would help the other. Since Jon had been put in position to find a new talent and he had set up a publishing company (Underground Music Company), Bon Jovi manager, Doc McGhee, signed Skid Row.
In 1988, after having secured a record deal with Atlantic Records, Skid Row entered in studio to record their debut album with Michael Wagener (Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Extreme and White Lion). Skid Row's debut album lineup : Sebastian Bach (vocals), Dave Sabo (guitars), Scotti Hill (guitars), Rachel Bolan (bass) and Rob Affuso (drums).
Skid Row later opened for Bon Jovi on the tour for New Jersey album.
It has been said that Jon asked Gary Moore (who was guitarist with a late 60s Irish rock band called Skid Row) to sell for $35,000 the rights to the name.
Skid Row signed a publishing deal with Richie Sambora and Jon Bon Jovi. Later, Sambora agreed to give back the band his percentage of their publishing.
Skid Row also went to Moscow for the Moscow Peace Festival Concert (with bands like Cinderella, Scorpions, Mötley Crüe, Bon Jovi, Ozzy Osbourne... and with Jason Bonham as special guest).
In 1996, after an argument with Rachel Bolan, Sebastian Bach was fired by the band.
Skid Row didn't officially disband. In 1998, the remaining members played briefly in a band called Ozone Monday with Shawn McCabe of Mars Needs Women on lead vocals.
In 1999, Skid Row reformed with new singer Johnny Solinger.
On April 16, 2013, Skid Row released the EP United World Rebellion: Chapter One (lineup : Johnny Solinger (lead vocals), Dave "The Snake" Sabo (guitars, backing vocals), Scotti Hill (guitars, backing vocals), Rachel Bolan (bass, backing vocals) and Rob Hammersmith (drums)).

Jon Bon Jovi et Dave Sabo étaient amis depuis longtemps et s'étaient mis d'accord que si l'un d'entre eux faisait carrière dans le monde de la musique, qu'il aiderait l'autre. Skid Row signa un contrat d'édition avec Jon Bon Jovi et Richie Sambora. Plus tard, Sambora accepta de rendre à Skid Row son pourcentage sur leur édition.
